Which is a more developed universe? The Battletech one, the Robotech one, the Starcraft one, or the Warcraft one? This is an interesting question because I think most people will find it hard to make a judgement on which is more developed without including personal opinion on which is of the highest quality. Warcraft's expansion sets, some claim, have completely ruined the game and the storyline to where it has become rediculous to consider World of Warcraft as a serious RPG. I think the Battletech one is the most developed.

Video Game Concept
I had a video game concept that I wanted to start working on, but I realized quickly that it was far too grand in scope to be realistic. Therefore, I thought up a more simple game, though it may sound complex. It is called Artie, short for Artificial Intelligence. It is a small game that allows the player to build their own AI program that will then go on to build other things depending on how the player "nurtures" the program from its infancy. The concept it based on the idea that an AI program will be a learning computer and is very impressionable at the start. The game will allow the player to "program" the AI in any way they wish, with variation and customization being the selling point of the game (selling point does not imply I wish to make money off of the game).

Why, Broncos, Why?!
31-10 vs. the Oakland Raiders. No, it wasn't the Broncos who won. Why is this such a hard fact to accept? Well, for starters, the Oakland Raiders just don't score that much in their games! They hadn't scored a touchdown in 15 consecutive quarters but they managed to score 3 touchdowns in 18 plays on the Broncos? For a defense that was able to contain Atlanta's Michael Turner, who on Sunday had 4 touchdowns, the Broncos couldn't stop anything on the ground. I don't think the Broncos are prepared well for their divisional games, and the coaches don't do a good job of getting it into their players heads that a divisional opponent's record doesn't indicate how they will play against you! There was no game plan, bad play calling, and no life to the Broncos offense, defense, and special teams. Get better coaches, please. You can't keep blaming the losses on the players.

Signs of Alien Life
Our prerequisites for a planet to sustain habitable life have been changed, and this article proves that we should look beyond our current prospects to find alien life in our galaxy.

Daring Entrepeneurs
When the heads of the big three auto makers of Detroit flew in to D.C. to ask for a hand-out in their multi-million dollar jets, the word "daring" comes to mind, but not in the right way! I can't believe these people who are so out of touch with reality would ride jets to go tell people how poor they are! I say let them file for bankruptcy; they are clearly not the successful business minds they think they are.The original article is here:

UFL Ring a Bell?
There is a new pro-football league that is about to be formed, and is scheduled to play their first season in August of 2009. The league is called the United Football League, or UFL (no, not the XFL), and is about to make a major announcement regarding what I assume is an public notification of the league in December. This is all taking place for certain, despite the current economic crisis, and United Football League investor and Google Inc. vice president Tim Armstrong claims that an investment in sports is a sound move, and a long term one as well financially. My personal opinion is that a new football league is great, but there are many, many american football leagues and teams throughout the country as it is already, and none of them are bold enough to take on the NFL in a head to head competition for ratings and fan support. The NFL has about a hundred years of tradition behind it, and I really don't think a new football league can survive when the NFL is airing its games. I personally believe that a staggered season would be best for the UFL, with the first regular season game being scheduled in March, with an eight week regular season containing one bye (there are currently 6-8 teams planned for the league), and the post-season games starting in May.
Ready for some perspective, UFL? There is already one league, the LCFL West, that is pretty big in Southern California alone. There are 26 teams in this league, and the winner of the LCFL West goes on to the NAFL1 Championship, where it plays one team from the biggest football league in the world, the North American Football League. Sorry to say it, UFL, but "I don't think it's gonna work."
Other startup leagues planned include the All American Football League (AAFL) and the United States Football League (USFL).

Dudes
Hey so the Broncos won, of course... nice work Orange and Blue!
It's already Wednesday and the week is going by fast, which is good.
If anyone is interested in playing the LotR mod in Warcraft 3, go ahead and join me on Azeroth East, in the channel "clan AOME." We are looking for more recruits!

Your Presence Weekend Me
It's time for the Weekend! Things to watch out for while you rest yourself for the fight against the Workplace Army on Monday:
- Fires in Santa Barbara are being fought but all talk of containment is out of the scope of the operation right now.
- Left 4 Dead releases the 17th (Monday); I get this ad all the time in Steam so naturally it makes me curious about it. Zombies are always a good thing in games!
- The Los Angeles Lakers seek to improve to 8-0 against the newly acquired Iverson and the Detroit Pistons tonight.
- AFC West Division Denver Broncos look to clip the wings of the Falcons in the Georgia Dome, extending their current win streak to 2 games, and hopefully will pull ahead of the Chargers who will face Pittsburg.
Enjoy your weekend!

MMOFPS?
Okay so check it out... There is a new development on the Battletech front, where the company that owns the Battletech franchise (and has sat on it for lack of any creativity to use it), WizKids, has completely shut down their operations. Last I heard, WizKids was in negotiations to sell the rights to the Battletech universe, but now the whole thing is kind of in limbo now.
I had an idea for a Battletech MMOFPS, the first of its kind, where hundreds of players at a time can be on one server in an FPS style RPG, that is modeled after the MMORPG style of game. Imagine that! You heard it first here!

The link for the main article about WizKids collapsing like a superdense star is here: http://www.wizkidsgames.com/wk_article.asp?cid=41914

Current Games
Hey just an update for today... I am currently in Warcraft 3: TFT on Azeroth East, doing mostly Ladder games when I have time. I am good, so come and match yourself against me because, let's face it, the fate of the world hangs on your skill in War3. Anyway, my name there is Emperor.Gold. I also do DotA (of course) and some LotR: Ring Wars and WotJ.
Also, I'm in Counterstrike 1.6 (the old version), playing as Pr0Gamer Predator: Ahnold! in one of the CSGAMER sites in Texas, the 24/7 Iceworld one.
I dropped out of Age of Conan recently, and from WoW about a year back. I was Azerbal on those games, and in WoW I was also: Gorecrow, Gothraja, and Grackal.
EDIT 11/13/2008:
For those who are here and don't want to open a new page for a search engine, click here to go straight to the DotA site to download their maps:

If you miss those good old games you used to play, and are burned out on the ones you have, check these ones out, they may look slightly familiar! Below is an example:

Become a Hierarch
Join the fight!
I need people to join up and fight against the n00bian hordes. Our goal is quality, not quantity, and if we get enough people good things can start happening, you know, the furnaces of war will be lit and all that... So "follow" this blog and check back regularly, and you shall become a Hierarch. It means you're badass, without giving a lengthy explanation. If a lengthy explanation is required, I will of course bend to the will of my Hierarchs.

BF2142 Anyone?
This game was great, but I had my DVDs crack in the heat of my car! In pondering whether or not I should consider possibly taking the chance on maybe putting in the effort to in some way buy another copy, I wanted to know if people still play this game! I suspect BF2 is more popular, but with BF Heroes coming out and people playing Battlefield: Bad Company, I think BF2142 has been placed on the shelf for many gamers.
In mentioning Battlefield: Heroes, I should post the link to that site. Check it out here: http://www.battlefield-heroes.com/
Basically, it's a free to play, free everything game developed by DICE, the same peeps that made the other Battlefield games. They can offer it for free because their marketing model plans on making money through microtransactions, you know, selling in-game crap for real money (imagine that?). Anyway, it is due out before 2009, so sign up for an account on their site (you'll need an account to play anyway). Watch the videos, and get ready for battle, soldier!

Blogs r teh ghey
I don't follow any other blogs, and I can't believe that I have made a forced retreat to the blogosphere. Is there any defeat more humiliating than that? I vow to destroy all other blogs in the blogosphere, setting up the first true Blogospheric Empire.Anyway, for the new recruits reading this powa-laced message, let me direct you to a little place called memory lane...
Remember those days at the console of your 486 DX2 computer? You had 16mbs of RAM, not the typical, pithy 8 that most other users had. You didn't know it at the time, but you would be instrumental in leading a revolution in gaming some fifteen years down the line. Anyway, as you sat there, you directed yourself to a small game that you had just purchased. That game's name was Star Control II.
The Ur-Quan were taking control of the galaxy, and you weren't going to let that happen, not on a Sunday, so you engaged in heated keyboard combat for several hours in the pursuit of justice because, let's face it, who doesn't love justice? I have recently discovered (though it's been out since 2003 I think) an open source site (the official one) for this legendary game. You can find it here: http://sc2.sourceforge.net/
Sign their petition, they're trying to get Activision to let the original creators (not the deviants who made SC3) do another, canonical Star Control game which I think is a very worthy cause against the n00bians. If this game gets created, it will be a major blow to the n00bian forces of the world, and take this empire one step closer to controlling the blogosphere.

An Ancient Evil Survives
Born from the black, I have come, with powa in my mind! I hereby issue a call to all of the stranded gamers, the disenfranchised pr0s, and the "old vets" destined to return to the gaming world once more. The death knell has sounded for the n00bian hordes, and I command all to flock to my banner of powa!!
More to come!
